Town of New Baltimore 10.11.2020

We have suffered a major water main break to all the customers in the Scheller Park district. The break is located on the east side of the Thruway. Thruway staff, Village of Coxsackie Water District staff, Delaware Engineering staff are on the scene. They are digging right now to determine the extent of the damage. There is currently no estimate of the length of time for water to be restored; that won't happen until they dig and discover the full extent of the break. In the meantime, we are coordinating with Greene County Office of Emergency Management to have a tanker truck placed in Scheller Park that will allow individuals to fill up containers of potable water. The exact location of this tanker truck is yet to be determined. We will announce that location as soon as we know. We will provide updates as this situation develops.
