Make sure to fill out your 2020 Census! The census will not be taken for another ten years, and in that time you will not be counted in important government decisions. I want to remind everyone who swims at Champlin Beach and Depot Park to RESPECT the Lifeguards!!!! The Lifeguards are there to keep everyone safe and to keep our beaches open!!! They do not have an easy job, if they tell you to follow a rule, please do it. It is for everyone’s health and safety. If rules are not followed, the beaches could get shut down by the Health Department. PLEASE follow these rules: 1. Be respectful to the lifeguards and to other patrons 2. Listen to... the Lifeguards AT ALL TIMES and follow their directions. Do not argue with them. 3. Only swim in the area that is roped off 4. Do not smoke or vape 5. Socially distance or wear a mask when you are on the beach 6. Do not yell at the lifeguards or get in their faces 7. Follow all rules listed You may not agree with all the rules, but in order to have our beaches remain open, they MUST be followed. The lifeguards are there for YOUR safety and to protect you!
