To dads everywhere, especially the dads who are firefighters and the dads who raised us, we wish you a very Happy Father’s Day!
This week Town Line is having hydrants added to our training grounds to provide additional training options. The hydrants will be used during the fire evolutions in our burn tower, as well as practicing hydrant hookup. The more realistic the training grounds the better prepared our members can be for assisting the community. Photos Courtesy Deputy Chief Kasprzyk
Last night, TLFD was out in the district reviewing and training on relay pump operations. Photos courtesy Deputy Chief Kasprzyk
Happy Flag Day!
This is great news! These men and women are the first people you speak to in an emergency and are vital to our response in your time if need.
Today we were honored to stand at attention with some members of our community as the Patriot Guard Riders as well as friends and family of US Air Force/Air National Guard Master Sergeant Christopher P. Blakowski passed by our station on his way to his final resting place at the WNY National Cemetery. Thank you for your service, Master Sergeant. Our country will forever be in your debt. Reminder! A new expansion to the current NYS seat belt law will require ALL back seat passengers to buckle up. Hopefully you’re doing this already, as well as keeping your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times and holding on to all loose possessions as the ride operators at Darien Lake have advised for years. Remember, seat belts save lives!!
A few more photos from Saturday’s Drive Thru Trunk or Treat event at Westwood Park! We loved seeing all the smiles on the little ones faces!

The railroad crossing at Two Rod and Kieffer Road in the Town of Alden will be closed today and tomorrow (or until further notice). Please adjust your travel route accordingly.
Our crews were out last night in the cold rain honing their auto extrication skills so we are sure we are at our best if you are ever in an auto accident. Thanks to Deputy Chief Kasprzyk for planning another great training session and a big thanks to Ed Henning Inc. for providing us some vehicles to train on in your lot! Power is out in the area Broadway and Bowen including the traffic signal. We are in route to set up a generator to power it up. Remember, please treat all non working signals as a four way stop.
Come see us at this family fun event on October 24th from 4-7 at Westwood Park! Click here for event info. https://fb.me/e/3lD3nG1Aq
Our Truck 2 taking a BIG stretch this morning during her annual testing. Each year, the aerial ladders on Truck 2 and struck 6 are tested as well as the ground ladders we carry on both the Trucks and Engines to ensure they meet strict safety codes. #townlinefire #lancasterny #aldenny #aerialtest #laddertest #pierceapparatus
Today, thirteen of our firefighters attended the Flashover training hosted by South Wales put on by NYSAFC.
TRAFFIC ALERT! The Erie Street railroad crossings at Steinfeldt, Pavement, and Schwartz are blocked due to a disabled train. The estimated time of repair and road reopening is unknown at this time. Please plan your travels accordingly.
Today we take pause, to not only remember the 343 firefighters that heroically lost their lives that day but the countless others who have died or have suffered illness from their efforts that day and the days and weeks following. We also remember the unsung heroes who selflessly helped others to safety at the World Trade Center and Pentagon, we remember the heroes of United Flight 93, we remember the co-workers who simply held each others hands as they waited to meet their fates. We remember the families and friends left behind, and we remember how we came together that day as Americans. Never forget.
Happy Labor Day!
