We were honored to work with Gabe McManus as he achieved his Eagle Scout Award. We look forward to spring and enjoying time at the new outdoor space at the Schoolhouse Museum. It will be great to have visitors have a comfortable spot to learn about our local history. Welcome back to school to all students, teacher, administrators and support staff! I am sharing some newly donated photos of some of the first classes of the school. It was built in 1929. The date on the photo of the girls holding the ball is 1931!! Technically the building is in the Town of Barker but the current school district buildings are in the Town of Chenango

The Town of Chenango historian needs your help! We are putting together a collection for future generations to understand what our daily lives were like during COVID-19 pandemic. You must be a resident of the Town of Chenango to participate at this time. We are also collecting photos showing any aspect of your daily life during this time. Examples: your make shift home office, waiting lines outside of stores, birthday parades, mask wearing, distance online learning. If ...a person is depicted in the photo please label with their name(s) and a brief description of what is happening in the photo.
