In honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, the flag at Town Hall is being flown at half-mast. Just before 8 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, 1941, hundreds of Japanese planes made the surprise raid on Pearl Harbor. During the attack, which was launched from aircraft carriers, nearly 20 American naval vessels, including eight battleships, were damaged or destroyed, as well as more than 300 aircraft. The official American death toll was 2,403, according to the Pearl Harbor Visitors Bureau, including 2,008 Navy personnel, 109 Marines, 218 Army service members and 68 civilians. Of the dead, 1,177 were from the USS Arizona, the wreckage of which now serves as the main memorial to the incident. Fifty-five Japanese soldiers also were killed.

Effective Friday, Town Hall will be open by appointment only. The West Seneca Library will be offering curbside service exclusively. The Town Board meeting scheduled for Monday, November 23rd will take place in-person for the Council, but will be closed to the public. It will be broadcast live on this page. THE COMMUNITY CENTER WILL REMAIN OPEN .

The Northwood Elementary PTA is hosting a Food Drive to support the West Seneca Food Pantry on Tuesday November 17th from 4-7pm in the Northwood bus loop! The first 200 children who come with their families to donate any non perishable food items will receive an activity bag! This will be a drive thru event, all donors must stay in their cars!
