A father is neither an anchor to hold us back nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way.- unknown And where would we be without our Scouting dads? They devote their time and energy to benefit our Scouting community. Every campfire, hike, and night spent camping under the stars, leads to memories that will be held onto forever.... Today, we honor all the fathers and honorary fathers in our Scouting community, and our thoughts are with those that are holding the memory of a father in their hearts.

Our flag represents us all, regardless of our background, religion, or our personal beliefs. Scouting honored the U.S. Flag in 1972 by adding it to all BSA uniforms. Citizenship is one of the aims of Scouting! When we say the Scout Oath and our recite the Pledge of Allegiance we are affiriming our commitment to our duty to country. Happy Flag Day!

Today we honor our fallen heroes while we welcome in the summer with family and friends. Let’s remember to take a few quiet moments to remember the brave men and women of our military who sacrificed their lives to establish and protect our freedom. We owe them an enormous debt of gratitude.
