Trevor’s Lower School participated in a toiletry and sandal drive for BRESMA (Les Brebis de Saint Michel de l'Attalaye), an orphanage located inHaiti. This massive container of donations will make its way by ship to the Caribbean, with Trevor’s best wishes. Shout out to rising 5th grader, Ben, for spearheading this important service endeavor. #servicelearning #trevordayschool #BRESMA
Today, we remember and commemorate Juneteenth, which marks the emancipation of the last enslaved African-Americans in the United States on June 19th, 1865 in Galveston, Texas, years after the emancipation proclamation. Earlier this week, President Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act, officially making June 19th a federal holiday. #juneteenth #celebratefreedom
For their MiniTerm project this year, 4th and 5th grade students created a movie called Summer Break Out! In the movie, our 4th and 5th graders find themselves trapped in the school during summer break, and to escape, they have to stop a mysterious Trevor Dragon and find the school's golden key. Students and teachers alike had a blast on this project and all worked hard to make it happen. Check out the fun ending with Mr. Reisinger, referencing another classic movie! #ferris #bueller #summer #movie #lowerschool #miniterm #tds #trevor
One of the Trevor traditions we most enjoy is hearing members of the graduating class address their peers during Commencement. This year was no exception! The Class of 2021 Senior Speakers did an exceptional job speaking about their time at Trevor, from what they learned in and out of the classroom, to the bonds they formed along the way. They shared their thoughts about the future, the importance of not being afraid to make mistakes, and encouraged everyone to embrace the unexpected. Bravo to all of the Class of 2021 Senior Speakers! #classof2021 #seniors #grads #tds #trevor
Congratulations to the Class of 2021! As fellow Trevor Class of 2021 graduate, Leah G. shared during her commencement speech today, "we are all meant to bloom and thrive.'' We are so proud of all you have accomplished during your Trevor careers and look forward to seeing you continue to thrive! #classof2021 #seniors #grads #tds #trevor

In 3rd grade, students learn about the importance of elders in Lenape culture. This week, 3rd-grade classes are talking about their connection to elders, including the impact of Covid and how people in nursing homes are more isolated. The students are making Valentine's Day cards to send some love, connection, and joy to those people in nursing homes! #3rdgrade #card #valentines #elderbuddies #tds #trevor
This year, 9th graders are working with the Nobis Project in continuation of their focus on community-building and sharing stories. Through this project, students are learning the history of the Gullah-Geechee, their connection to West Africa, and how the residents are preserving their community. Thank you to our recent guests, including Josiah (Jazz) Watts, who virtually visited to share information about the Gullah-Geechee and hopes to foster understanding and respect for cultures different from one's own. #gullahgeechee #nobis #project #community #story #tds #trevor

The Middle School Library is hosting a series of fun and interactive creative writing sessions from Jason Reynolds’ new series: Write. Right. Rite. Participating students receive a prompt, are given time to write, and then, if interested, are offered the chance to share with the group. The group had a great first meeting yesterday and are all looking forward to Mr. Reynolds’ visit in March! #write #right #rite #jasonreynolds #library #writing #tds #trevor
