Here we are at the Church of the Ascension. Built 1840’s. These walls were never meant to be seen. They were covered in lath and plaster. Once the walls were demo’d, the Reverend decided to have the walls cleaned up. The original spec was to ‘wire brush’ 2500 sqft of walls! . So, we were called. We blasted off 180 years of dirt, dust and sloppy mortar. Better to zoom the pics to see the difference. @ Greenpoint Brooklyn NYC 11222

Here, we were at Nicky T’s Autobody. Exterior strip on a BMW and the fiberglass panels off of a Trike. A lot of logistics to blast a project on-site in a very small lot. Paint blew off the BMW, needed a 2nd pass to get the primer off. Site time, 3.5 hrs, 250 lbs fine glass. @ Nicky T Collision Center

Finally. DONE. The last of the fire escapes. The project has been in the queue since Oct. of last year. Then it got too cold for the painter. This escape took 2 days to blast. I gave the painter a gap day to paint the lower half. As you can see, that wasn’t done. Without scaffolding, found myself hanging over the rails in some not so safe positions. Again, very hot & humid. There was a professional photographer taking pics. Yeah, that’s me in my happy place . 1000 lbs of 20-40, 7.5 blast hours. @ Norwalk, Connecticut

Fire escape part 2 of 3. Just like an English Muffin, a lot of ‘nooks & crannies.’ . Hot & humid again, but we were under some trees. 550 lbs of 20-40 glass 3.5 blast hours.

Fire escape. I normally don’t do the standard fire escapes with the drop down ladders. Lead paint and containment becomes cost prohibitive to most landlords. This one and the ones to follow seemed plausible. No lead or containment issues. The pre pics were taken a year ago. We are finally able to get this project started. 4 hours blasting, 500 lbs of glass grit, 104 with high humidity in direct sunlight! @ Norwalk, Connecticut

Soot removal. 5 days in this residential basement. 5300 sqft of blasting plus a 3 story chimney in and out. SOMETIMES we had lighting, but we were pretty much working in the dark. Some 50 buckets of grit & shit hauled out. 40+ bags of baking soda. 15 blast hrs. @ Orange, Connecticut

‘06 Honda Civic, someones son died, the mom wanted the car repainted! . 40-70 recycled crushed glass left the profile a little more than expected by the painter. . Collision guys aren’t use to blasted metal. 2 hrs. @ Fishkill , New York
