Troop 30 Canandaigua

Troop 30 had their own Klondike Derby. What a great day. Orienteering, cold weather rescue, snow showing, traverse with bosun chair and pulleys for the sled..., gold treasure, fire starting, meatball subs and much more. Scouts like to have tasty treats sometimes! They made brownies outside in the Dutch oven, yum. While enjoying the brownies the scouts discussed their upcoming troop Klondike derby at camp Lola and discussed various merit badge requirements.

The great scouts of Troop 30 participated in community service last evening at the Victor/Farmington Food Cupboard. This is an extremely important service to our community. We were informed that referrals to the pantry have increased by about 40%. Our Scouts are willing to continue to devote time to serve our community in this important manner.

Scouts worked on making fire starting tinder and emergency candles. Plenty to supply their fire kits. They also completed their new Patrol Flag.
