At approximately 2:50pm yesterday a fire broke out at T&R Environmental’s storage warehouse in the Bath, NY facility. There were numerous barrels of oil that exploded throughout the fire and responding fire departments worked to salvage T&R Towing’s dispatch office and the Fred Roberts Auto Parts facility. Ultimately the T&R Environmental warehouse and Fred Roberts facilities could not be saved, but T&R dispatch office was salvaged with minor damage. One minor injury was trea...ted on scene and we are very thankful that no one was seriously hurt in the incident. We would like to thank the Bath Volunteer Fire Department as well as the 15 additional fire departments who responded; for that we are extremely grateful. The T&R Bath repair facility is open at normal business hours today and our dispatch center is fully operational at a temporary location. The T&R Environmental Bath facility is being supported by it’s other locations in Painted Post and Victor, NY to remain fully functional and responsive for any local emergencies. Continuing on with our Recycled Rides story. After we had a vehicle secured, the next problem was its location. It was at the IAA lot in Scranton, PA. We were a...ble to secure towing from Scranton back to Painted Post from T&R Towing and Service Centers, saving us a lot of hassle and/or a large tow bill. Once the vehicle was on-site, we began the damage analysis process. One of the issues we encountered was the lack of parts and hardware with the car. Typically when a car is disassembled and deemed a total loss, many of the old parts and hardware will be placed in the vehicle when it is sent to a salvage auction. We had zero parts, clips, nuts, bolts, or fasteners. So, we contacted a local Auto Recycler, Jaynes Used Auto Parts. He purchased a similar vehicle for us that was wrecked in the rear. This allowed us to have the necessary Hardware and an idea of what we needed to replace.
