Voices of Partners with Teachers Academy Foundation (ÖRAV) If you missed yesterday's live stream, you can watch the full program with Öretmen Akademisi Vakf here. Hosted by Elmira Bayrasli featuring Arzu Atasoy from Teachers Academy Foundation (ÖRAV) and with guest speakers Ceyhun Göcenolu and Berna Kokulu.... During this event, we discuss ÖRAV's mission, gain donor and teacher insights, and learn more about the changes and challenges ÖRAV has faced as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. ÖRAV has been designing and disseminating training programs considering the current needs of teachers all over Turkey since its establishment in 2008. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the foundation conducted the research called "Daily Practices, Perception, and Educational Needs During the Pandemic Period" to quickly respond to the changing needs of teachers. In the light of this research, ÖRAV has designed an online training program that aims to create effective course designs to achieve the objectives of the curriculum in online education. With this teachers will improve their knowledge on interactive lesson designs, motivation in distance education, preparedness, classroom management, individual differences, and communication in online education. By supporting ÖRAV, you are investing in teachers and the future generations of Turkey. Donate now to ÖRAV at https://donate.tpfund.org/campaign/orav/c164635 and support their efforts to make a lasting impact on education and educators, which as a result supports the future generations of Turkey. #teachers #voicesofpartners #turkishphilanthropyfunds #partners #nonprofitsofturkey #education #örav #öretmenakademisivakf #teachersacademyfoundation

Refugee Week 2021 - Hayata Destek Dernei /Support To Life This week we will be celebrating Refugee Week by sharing videos and images from our partner organizations that have specialized programs and provide support to refugees throughout Turkey. We asked our partner, Support to Life, to help us share with our community the work they do and how they support refugees in Turkey. Thank you, Hatem for sharing this with us! ... Support to Life is an independent humanitarian organization founded with the principle aim of helping disaster-affected communities meet their basic needs and rights. They have been conducting activities since 2005 with principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, and accountability. Currently, their primary areas of work are Emergency Assistance, Refugee Support, Child Protection in Seasonal Agriculture, and Capacity Building. The work of #STL ties into this year's Refugee Week, #WeCanNotWalkAlone - reminding us that we are greater together. Support to Life continues to work on bringing safety and education to #refugee families across #Turkey, especially in the past year, as they worked with families who were affected greatly by the #Elizag and #Izmir Earthquakes and the Covid-19 pandemic. Support to Life also has worked to support #education needs since the pandemic with tablet and internet support. They have identified 700 children who can't continue their #distancelearning due to lack of technology. Most recently TPF worked with Support to Life to create the Technology for Girls Education fund, which will provide tablets and internet access to 200 girls mostly from seasonal migrant worker families in the cities of Adana, Urfa, Diyarbakir, Hatay, Mersin, Batman, and Istanbul. We invite you to visit: https://donate.tpfund.org/campaign/hayata-destek/c321248 to learn more about Support to Life and how to support their work. #RefugeeWeek2021 #Refugees #SupportoLife #HayataDestekDernegi #TurkishPhilanthropyFunds #TPFPartners #motivationforeveryday #colorfulstories #community

Due to the pandemic, students have started their education online in Turkey. Switch to remote education affected students in villages the most in cooperation with their peers in cities. As most of these children don't have access to the internet and computers, online education magnified the inequality in education and it's become a great obstacle for students to maintain their formal education. With the Curious Ambassadors of Science Project, one successful 6th grader will be chosen from a village school as an "ambassador" with the recommendation of a teacher and she/he will be given a tablet and internet access for one year. During the review process, positive discrimination will be applied to support female students. Donate TODAY and have your gift MATCHED! Darussafaka Society’s vision is unique. They work to create equity in education by prioritizing resources to students who need them the most. In education comin...g from low-income families or resource-deprived neighborhoods, or having no mother or father are barriers that require students to run harder and faster to get to the finish line. Darussafaka Society’s approach addresses all these barriers students face. The organization levels the playing field for these students making not only a huge difference in the lives of these students but also in the society at large. See more
