***Unfortunately the demand for muffins during the week isn’t there, so I’m switching back to weekends or by order only for baked goods. A few weeks ago I found myself a little discouraged with the prices at a few local Farmstands how do they make any money, I thought? I can’t compete with those prices! Then I discovered that they used canned pie filling, bake at home pretzels and cinnamon rolls and it all made a lot more sense! My baked goods are made from as scratch as I can get. I make the pop tart filling with fresh or frozen fruit, I make the pastry dough from butter and flour and roll it by hand. I... mix the icing and I drizzle it on. My muffins are made with sour cream or buttermilk, expensive extracts, butter, and other real ingredients! These aren’t from a box and baked at home these are MADE in my home! And I put as much care into each batch as I would for a special friend! I’m required to label my products and each ingredient is listed. I take care to remove unsold items before they go stale and to maintain the freshest baked goods!
