Did you know that UB has a database dedicated to scholarships? Sign in using your UB account, create a profile, and fill out the General Application to be automatically considered for relevant scholarships. https://buffalo.academicworks.com/ In fact, there are several awards you can apply for that are due October 30!... -The Anne Brody Scholarship Fund (up to $2,000) is open to undergraduates in good academic standing who can describe how they have demonstrated outstanding achievement and exceptional promise to accomplish their educational goals. -The Division of University Communications Student Scholarship (up to $2,000) is open to full-time students pursuing a major, minor or certificate in communication, English, media study, fine arts, journalism, professional writing and digital communication, business or theatre. -The John and Katherine Simpson Scholarship Fund ($4,000) is open to first-generation undergraduate students whose natural or adoptive parents have not received a bachelor’s degree or higher; must have academic merit. -The Mary Norton Thompson Scholarship (up to $2,000) is open to students who graduated from an accredited public, day high school and can provide evidence that a college education would be impossible without assistance -The UB Undergraduate Scholarship Fund (up to $3,000) is open to newly-admitted freshmen majoring in a field related to the arts, humanities or social sciences, with preference to those committed to developing a deeper appreciation of regional, national and international issues. Graduating seniors: The East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship provides master's and doctoral funding for graduate students from Asia, the Pacific, and the... United States to participate in educational, cultural, residential community building, and leadership development programs at the East-West Center while pursuing graduate study at the University of Hawai‘i at Mnoa (UHM). The graduate degree fellowship covers the cost of tuition and fees, books, housing in an East-West Center dormitory, and partial funding toward meals, health insurance, and incidental expenses.
