How about a happy tail of two long-timers to brighten up your Friday? Lady Oreo (tuxedo) had been at the shelter for over 4 years, one of our longest residents in the cat room. Josephine (marbled tiger) had been with us for over a year and a half.... Both girls are beautiful and beloved by staff and volunteers, but they're very nervous and undersocialized with people and prefer a home with cat friends. This has made them a hard sell with a lot of potential adopters. Then their home came along-- two young women who wanted the cat who'd been here the longest (Lady O), and then didn't hesitate to consider taking a second cat when they heard Lady would be happiest with a friend! It's been about a week and they're doing so well! Still sassy and unsure of their new environment, but they have each other and are slowly learning to trust their new family. Here you can see they hunker down together in their cozy fort under the bed. Their family describes them as the royalty of the house, catered to and adored, and they're putting a ton of effort into making them as happy and comfortable as they can be. Lady O is even sneaking naps on the bed when she thinks nobody is looking. Let's send them a ton of love and good thoughts for a happy life together!
