The library will be opening back up April 5th with it's normal hours.

The Unadilla Public Library will be closed temporary this week due to an exposed case of Covid-19. Will plan on opening back up Monday April 5th.

The Library will be closed March 16th for Village Elections.

Digitized copies of certain years of the Unadilla Times are now available on our website. unadillalibrary.org Look under the heading Local Digitized Newspapers to find which years we have. If you would like further information please contact the Library at 607-369-3131.

Unadilla Public Library will be reopening Tuesday July 7th. We are excited to announce we will reopening Tuesday July 7th. We will be back to our normal hours. As we reopen, these procedures will be in place to ensure the safety and health of staff and patrons. You will need to ring the doorbell to be let in the library.... Computer use will be by appointment only. Limited to an hour. Number of people in the building will be limited according to current guidelines. Face masks must be worn at all times. Unadilla Public Library Curbside Pickup Policy Anyone with a library card can use curbside pickup. To request materials:... 1. Log into your library account through the online catalog at 4cls.org. 2. Search for materials and click place hold to reserve them. Up to 15 items may be reserved per library card from libraries that are open to curbside. 3. Wait for notification of availability of materials. Materials may also be requested by calling 607-369-3131 or emailing [email protected]. Disinfecting Materials: Returned items are quarantined for 72 hours before being re-shelved or released for reserves. Safety Precautions: The library will take every step possible to ensure the safety of staff and patrons and will follow all safety protocol and guidance provided by the state and local health departments. It is expected that patrons follow any and all safety measures that library staff put in place. This may include social distancing, wearing a mask and staying home when sick. Procedures for Curbside Pickup: 1. Use library card to reserve materials 2. When you are notified that your holds are available, pick up time will be arranged. 3. Upon arrival, call the library at 607-369-3131 to notify staff you have arrived. 4. Staff will place reserved materials on the porch. Returning Library Materials: Drop off materials in the door drop-off, or for a large drop-off, please call the library and arrange a drop- off time. Curbside Update! The holds will not be limited to just the Unadilla Public Library. You will be able to get holds from the libraries that are open to curbside. Go to 4cls.org for an updated list of libraries that are open to curbside. Holds from other libraries will take longer to receive then normally.

April Events. Saturday, April 4th at 11:00 AM there will be an Easter Egg Hunt outside for children age 12 and under. There will be 3 groups. Each egg will contain candy or a prize. Each child attending the Easter Egg Hunt will receive a book. Thursday, April 9th at 1:00 PM the Dirtmeister will present the Dirtmeister's Electric Show. He will conduct a variety of demonstrations of electricity using volunteers from the audience. The show will have some important notes on electrical safety and how to find safe electrical experiments that children can conduct at home.

Chocolate Desserts Workshop Tuesday, February 11th at 6:30 PM Andrea Edwards will help participants prepare for a dreamy, delicious, and HEALTHFUL Valentine's Day with a demonstration of her two favorite super-nutrient-dense chocolate recipes-- one KETO, and one VEGAN. Dianne Dirig, a Master Garden Volunteer with Otsego County Cornell University Cooperative Extension, will be presenting a program on Home Composting. This program will be held at the Unadilla Public Library on Wednesday January 29th from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Please join us for information about Home Composting!!

July 29th 1:30 PM Moreland the Magician "Universe of Stories" at the Unatego Elementary School... A 45 minute show of a blend of magic,puppetry, comedy, and audience participation, and it celebrates the fun of reading and visiting your library all summer long.

Kopernik Observatory & Science Center July 25th there will be 2 sections 1:00 PM & 2:00 PM at the Unatego Elementary School... The Space Program and Air Rockets: This presentation will feature a 30 minute talk on the Space program. They'll bring some artifacts of the Space program and talk about the four astronauts who grew up in the Southern Tier. After the presentation the attendees will make an air rocket from an 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of paper. Once the rocket is built, they will head outside with an air compressor, launch the rocket 30 to 40 feet in the air. Attendees will take their air rocket home. Kopernik supplies all materials needed for the rockets. * Funding for this event was provided by the Community Foundation of Unadilla*
