On Tuesday, January 19th, the churches of the Greater Rochester Community of Churches and the Webster Council of Churches are being asked to join houses of worship from across the nation to gather at 5:30 PM and ring their church bells and light up their buildings in memory of those who have lost their lives to COVID in our community, our nation and world. Since we don’t have a church bell, but do have handbells, I’m looking for 3 people to join me in ringing bells on our fro...nt stoop tomorrow at 5:30 PM. Others are invited to come to church and light up our building with your car lights while we are ringing! *If you can ring a bell, email me at: [email protected] before tomorrow at 12:00 noon. I will reply to the first 3 people who reply. *If you can’t ring but want to light us up, just show up at church by 5:20 PM and be ready to let your light shine! Greetings, Webster UCC Family! Your Virtual Worship Team is looking to get more people involved in Sunday morning worship virtually! It isn’t difficult in fact it’s quite easy First:... If you’d like to read scripture on any given Sunday, drop me an email, send me a text, or give me a call and we’ll set up a date and time, and I’ll have Doug send the scripture to you via email! Then, all you have to do, is, find a comfortable seat, and record yourself with your phone, save it and send it in! You have the luxury of being able to record it until you’re happy with it, and you’re in the comfort of your own home, and we can share it with those who view our Sunday morning worship on Facebook LIVE or watch it later via our website! Second: Maybe you and/or your family would like to send out a greeting to your church family! You can do it in the same manner Offer a brief greeting to all your WUCC peeps, in a way to let them know you’re well, healthy, and happy but missing everyone greatly! We will then project your greetings during the Prelude at the start of the service, or as the service draws to a close. Identify yourselves, say hi! and offer everyone a Good Morning! or a Have a great day! Maybe you’re on top of one of the peaks in the ADK, or hiking a trail in Letchworth, or visiting the Zoo you have a nice backdrop and great opportunity to let us know what you’ve been doing. Greetings, All! Well, I'm back! The healing and rehab. is going really well, and although I haven't gotten the "all clear" to drive again, I am able to set up my home workspace again, as I did for a couple months following the start of the pandemic. It feels good to be here at this place of healing, even though I have some more PT to do to get back full mobility.
