December 14th - Safe Harbors of the Finger Lakes Safe Harbors of the Finger Lakes, Inc. provides services, at no charge, for individuals, children, and families who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse, and interpersonal violence. They offer individual counseling, support groups, legal accompaniment, and personal advocacy with referrals to other local agencies as well as primary prevention services in schools, professional agencies, and in the communities they serve. While Safe Harbors of the Finger Lakes serves Ontario, Seneca and Yates Counties, UWSC funding specifically supports a fund to provide direct emergency assistance for Seneca County residents allowing financial assistance for such things as storage units, lock changes and court filling fees to help those residents gain and maintain independence.

Good morning! With the increasing number of COVID cases in and around Seneca County, we would like to once again offer free masks to any residents and employees... in need. Since masks are now so much more widely available, I don't think we'll get the number of requests we saw this spring, however, we need to be prepared. We have a decent stock of small children's mask at this time but are definitely in need of more adult masks. We still have materials available - especially elastic - and volunteers to help transport materials and finished masks. If you are interested in sewing masks again or joining this project for the first time, please let me know at [email protected]! Thank you and please stay safe!
