FYI tonight if you see increased Fire Dept activity in Upper Jay there is not an emergency happening we will be conducting a multi department training exercise starting at 6 pm. Area Departments involved will be Upper Jay FD, Jay FD, Wilmington FD, Keene and Keene Valley FD’s, AuSable Forks FD, Lake Placid FD and Essex County Emergency Services.

The Upper Jay Fire Dept regrets to announce that we have decided to cancel 2020 Oozeball Tournament due to COVID 19. We apologize to all the teams and players t...hat have faithfully supported us for the past 28 years!! It was a difficult decision to make because it’s our biggest fundraiser however for everyone’s health and safety it was an easy decision to make!! We will be back bigger and better next year!! Stay tuned we have a couple ideas for a fall fundraiser that we are currently working on we just need to see what the COVID virus allows this fall!! At 2200 hrs on may 20th we were toned out for a wild land fire off from the Bartlett road. Mutual aid was requested from Upper Jay for a tanker, brush truck and manpower, with Keene Valley on In house standby. Units were in service at approximately 0100.
