Innovative research on the convergence of climate change and segregation has unveiled how racist practices and policies shape how minority and low-income Americans experience the adverse effects of global warming. Data from this research reveals the disparities that caused extreme heat amongst urban communities. I discuss the link between redlining and climate change and offer potential solutions to combat this environmental injustice. -Amanda Pignataro
