Powerful socially distanced vigil last night, on the International Day of Peace standing in solidarity with our African American community in the aftermath of the murder of Daniel Prude. Praying for our community and nation.

Our best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year to all our friends and colleagues observing Rosh Hashanah this weekend!

From the Students Association for Interfaith Cooperation: The Students’ Association for Interfaith Cooperation aches for the loss of Daniel Prude. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, loved ones, and all who grieve his life. We reflect on the innumerable homicides of African-Americans by law enforcement in the US and the structural and social racism that this phenomenon is a product of. We support African-American faculty, staff, and students who are disproportionately affected by said systems of oppression. In light of this tragedy, we recommit ourselves to making the Interfaith Chapel an anti-racist space on campus and support all anti-racist efforts, including but not limited to assembly. We do this because we believe that Black Lives Matter.
