Some positive news! A recent study determined that the surface of tennis balls are unlikely to harbor SARS-CoV-2 in a manner that is compatible with risk of developing COVID-19 from handling the ball during normal play. Read the study here: https://www.sciencedirect.com//arti/pii/S2666535220300288

This past June, Woodstock Tennis Club members Vivienne Hodges and Dana Patton were talking about the state of the world, from the pandemic to racial injustice. It was just one of those times where you couldn’t help but ask yourself: What can we do? says Patton. Quickly, members of the club came together to raise $2,000 for a scholarship fund which supported a tennis summer camp for kids in Kingston, NY.

Have you introduced any friends to tennis in the past few months? Industry trends suggest that even during the era of COVID-19, racquet sports continue to grow due to their socially distanced nature. As we work to make tennis truly a sport for all, events like this Volkl demonstration continue to safely take place. This activation was held on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Cow Meadow Park in Freeport, NY. Thank you to organizers Jean Telfort and Jared Friedberg!... _ #USTAEastern #TennisForAll #TennisForLife See more
