As many of you know we had to cancel the event for 2020. However, the Sylvan Beach Fire and Rescue needs our donations more than ever. We have some rather funn...y shirts, sweatshirts, towels and other items that will be listed on a web page for ordering in the very near future. You can order online, pay, and the items will be shipped directly to your home. All profits from the sale of these items will go directly to the SBFD. I ask that you all open your hearts and wallets and support them in this time of need, as they have always supported us and this event simply wouldn’t be possible without them. Traditionally I post a promo video based on the prior year, and announce our dontation. That is still coming for the results of the 2019 CWR and it’s something for all of us to be proud of. Questions & Answers: Is the swim area open? No. The swim area is not open. Swimming in the water is NEVER swim at your own risk. The water is State regulated.... There are signs along the beach stating swimming is allowed in the permitted swim area only. Is the beach open? Yes. Our beach is open if you maintain social distancing. Please call The Village of Sylvan Beach with questions regarding the beach and swim area 315-762-4844. Are the restrooms open? Yes Are the restaurants open? Yes, all are open and serving take-out. Some have also reopened for inside dining and following NYS Guidelines of 50% capacity. Please contact restaurants directly for more information. Is the amusement park open? The Amusement Park will not be opening for the 2020 Season. Can we fish at Sylvan Beach? Yes, the pier is open we ask that everyone respects social distancing that still remains in place. Is parking free? No. Paid parking has resumed for the summer season. Will there be fireworks this weekend? Unfortunately, no. We will not be holding fireworks this weekend.

We are sad to announce that the beach will not be hearing the screams and shouts of the amusement park this year. But there are plenty of other things to do. Walks on the beach, dinning in or out, listening to bands, the Verona beach state park, walking to the light house. And oh yeah..... our sunsets, but they speak for their selves.
