Sea, Sand, Summer and celebrating birthday's! We are having great fun exploring all of the things that we love about summer! It’s hard to believe we are about to begin our last week of school! How time flies!

We’re deep into our Oceans unit and discovering that there are some fascinating creatures that live in the water. We are learning and having lots of fun counting, sorting, identifying and crafting them!

Our little community helpers were on the job these past 2 weeks chefs, mail carriers, doctors, construction workers, dentists and more. It was lots of fun learning about Community Helpers and the jobs they do! Learning, playing and exploring helps to expand their horizons as they think about all the things that they can be when they grow up. The sky is the limit!!

Ice Skating Fun! More pictures below!

Our winter theme was so "cool!!" We learned about animals from cold climates, identified shapes with our penguins, made snowmen and counted their buttons, used our scissors to cut a path for our sleds and much more. It wouldn't be winter for us without snow though! So of course, we played in the snow! Play-doh snow, Floof snow, shaving cream snow and ice skating in the snow!

Hey Valley Nursery School Families, It was so nice to have our little ones back in school and to welcome our new families! It didn't take any time for everyone to get right into the swing of things! Here are some highlights from this week and before the holiday break. :) Just a reminder school will be closed on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day.

We had lots of hands on math fun this week with shapes! We're learning their names, characteristics, categorizing them and finding them in everyday items. We loved assembling our pizza with toppings. It gave us lots of shapes to identify! Pumpkin painting was a hit too! We're glad it's still fall!
