You all ROCK! The amount of donations we have seen over the last week for our play yard has been incredible! The past few weeks have provided opportunities to show City decision-makers how impactful the human-animal bond is. Creating a true community animal resource center that is the hub for information and support and is more efficient in delivering vita...l services, will enable us to expand supportive services including pet food pantry, pet supplies, dog behavior and training, community-facing veterinary care, and temporary emergency pet housing while enhancing lost pet reunification, pet rehoming, and public safety. HSUS has awarded RAS the annual Championship Award for the work being done through the Pets for Life Program! This award is presented in recognition of the incredibly significant work of meeting people where they are, building relationships, overcoming barriers, and supporting the human-animal bond. It's #HappyTailsSunday and we have an update on one of our furry friends: We adopted "Sassy" in January of 2010 and updated her name to Lucy, also known as Bitey! She was so full of personality, sparkle and joy and has made our lives so complete. She rules the house 10 years later, eats organic chicken, premium treats, loves going to the park and in the car and stealing all your room in bed. While we hope she enjoys her posh & spoiled life (no other way to live), she has forever changed us and shows unconditional love everyday.
