Celebrating unity, history, testimony and a landmark in Babylon Village as the 1st Presbyterian Church joined together on Saturday evening for the 150 year cele...bration of the Sanctuary! The cornerstone of the new sanctuary was installed on September 24th, 1870 and the new church was dedicated on May 24th, 1871. Adding to the celebration was Pastor Paul, Mayor Ralph Scordino, John Cragg, Executive Director of Long Island Youth Mentoring, Village resident and active member of the church and community, Judy Skillen, whom also spoke on the importance of keeping history alive and the wonderful involvement and impact the 1st Presbyterian Church has within our community, for our residents and surrounding communities. Congratulations to the 1st Presbyterian Church, Pastor Paul and the congregation. We look forward to your continued service in our community for the next 150 years!
