There is a Regular Meeting of the Village of Lakewood Board of Trustees scheduled for tonight at 6:30 PM at Village Hall. Limited in-person attendance is allowed due to current Covid-19 restrictions. Social distancing and masks are required to attend. Virtual attendance details can be found on the Village website.
The Village Office (Clerk & Treasurer) will be closed on Monday October 12th. Normal office hours will resume on Tuesday October 13th, 8:30 am - 4:30 PM.
Village of Lakewood leaf collection will begin Monday October 26, 2020. Crews will start in the west end of the Village, at Lowe Avenue and proceed eastward, north of the tracks, to Crystal Avenue. Crews will then work westward, from Southwestern Drive to Spruce Street, south of the railroad tracks. Leaves ONLY... Absolutely NO sticks, twigs, brush or trash will be collected No bagged leaves Combine leaf piles, when possible Keep leaves out of deep drainage ditches ~ Village of Lakewood, Department of Public Works
BPU Daytime Water Main Flushing in the Village of Lakewood begins Thursday October 8th and continues on Friday October 9th. Keep in mind that discolored water could occur anytime during the eight flushing days. Please take special note that Wednesday October 7, flushing along Fairmount Avenue (route 394) from Jamestown to Sunrise Cove will most likely cause discolored water on streets and neighborhoods located off Fairmount. Please be sure to check your water before doing laundry and avoid doing laundry on your scheduled flushing day.
ATTENTION: Village of Lakewood Residents Jamestown BPU will be flushing the water mains during the daytime, NOT overnight!!! Beginning: Wednesday, October 7, 2020... Ending: by Saturday, October 10, 2020 Some areas may experience low and/or no water pressure during the flushing. Roily water conditions may exist during flushing and shortly after. Water customers should avoid drawing roily water into their hot water tanks and heating systems.
