The Village Board is please to announce that we have hired Adelord (Al) Preville as our new water plant superintendent. Al starts this monday and comes to us from the Village of Ravena Public Works, were he worked for many years running their water plant. Al also had a background in construction and excavation. Village of Coxsackie Two Crossing Guard Positions The Village of Coxsackie will receive applications from interested persons for two positions of Crossing Guard. Job applications are posted on the Village of Coxsackie website, www.villageofcoxsackie.com. Applications will be accepted in person or by mail to the Village of Coxsackie, 119 Mansion St., Coxsackie, NY 12051 until the close of business on January 21, 2021. The Water Dept. and DPW crews have been searching for many days for a leak on lower Mansion St. With the assistance of NYS Rural Water and the Village of Athens, their listening devices were able to pinpoint it and it was repaired today. As a result many valves had to be turned off in the area which may be causing some discoloration. The Water Dept. is flushing some hydrants to mitigate this and please run your faucet until it clears. Now they are on to a new break on Riversi...de Ave. 2021 was supposed to be better, right??? Our police department is investigating a razor blade found in a piece of candy that was received while trick or treating last night in the Village.
