Village Walk never fails to throw a great holiday party but unfortunately this year, we were not able to hold our annual party! Today was the first of many mini holiday parties we are going to have this week to ensure social distancing and the safety of our residents! This year we weren’t able to have our annual Employee Appreciation Week due to the global pandemic. Our employees have been working exceptionally hard this year to keep all of our residents healthy and safe so we wanted to make sure we were able to show them just a little bit of how thankful we are to have them! Yesterday we had an employee appreciation Halloween party where we were able to share lots of laughs, dancing, and great food together! A few of our lucky winners also got to walk away with some pretty great lotto prizes! We are so thankful for all of our employees and couldn’t do what we do without them!

Today our Nurse, Crystal, wanted to hop out of nursing for the day and get to spend some time with our residents in a different way! Crystal made an extraordinary impression on our residents when she worked with them on Halloween wreath making, something she has always had a passion for doing! Today Harry celebrated his 101st birthday with good friends and great food! All Harry wanted for his birthday was to go to hibachi for lunch, but because of the virus our residents are unable to go on trips. So, we brought the hibachi to him! Harry and his friends enjoyed an authentic hibachi luncheon right outside our front door! We are wishing Harry a happy 101st birthday and many more to come! Yesterday the celebration continued as we enjoyed authentic Polynesian dancers who took on a journey through the generations of their culture through dance.
