Thank you @svanyc for the support and continued access to our facilities during this precious time. The VFL staff has been able to contribute to the DIY PPE relief efforts by 3D printing ventilator parts, laser cutting face shields, and sewing fabric face masks. We also have an amazing resource doc of all the DIY PPE research and projects we have found to be trustworthy and effective. Check out our website for more info. Thank you to the research and efforts of Makers for MDs, the practice Dr. Maki and Dr. Alfonso, Stitchroom, and the Isinnova research group. Thank you also to @etmeikle @oyalala @allandoyledoyle @10.gu @mngxxh @chesterdols @chochinov for@being such an amazing team!

I started printing a batch of these babies over the weekend. ISINNOVA is a research group out of Italy making hospital ventilators out of face covering snorkel masks. There are a bunch of other DIY projects out there to help alleviate the shortage of personal protection equipment (PPE). If you have the skills and equipment to help, there is still a lot you can contribute to these COVID-19 relief projects. The lab is pulling together a list of resources for fabricators. I’ll... share that soon. Not all hospitals and clinics are accepting DIY PPE so do your research and make sure to help based on these facilities’ needs. There are organizations out there that can set you up with the appropriate clinics/hospitals if you want to help. . . . #thereisstillmoretodo #svanyc #covid19relief #3dprinting #dogood #donoharm #rhino3d @gleeleelawlee @mananter See more
