#WomensHistoryMonth It is confusing to note that some chefs denied a woman’s rightful place in the kitchen, although many confess having learned the passion for... and cooking from their mothers, grandmothers or professional women chefs, with whom they apprenticed. Lyon, often declared the culinary capital of France, was the home to women chefs, who refused to compromise but maintained their world-renowned regional cuisines, a renown lost with the unwarranted flood and gratuitous adoration of male chefs, many of whom abandoned regional cooking in favor of the coming of a new cuisine. It should not escape anyone who has followed the sports Olympics, that the American women soccer and ice hockey teams rose from virtual obscurity to the enviable position of world powers. The primary reason for their incredible triumphs were the mandates of Title IX of the 1972 Educational Amendments, requiring colleges and universities to provide equal opportunity, support, facilities and scholarships for women as for male athletes. Perhaps it is now time for the restaurant and hospitality industry to evoke its own Title IX measure, with the goal to celebrate the achievements of women who, discouraged by the lack of opportunities, support and recognition, could easily migrate to other professions or positions in other disciplines (unlike those found in commercial foodservice) such as healthcare, recreation, government, business and industry, schools, universities, and the like. While there is discrimination against women in the industry, however based on gender, there is equal prejudice, based on color and race, which has likewise limited the ascension of African American chefs in our industry and conscience.

One of the main reason is because they are willing to SUPPORT their associates' business, taking care of one another's interests thus naturally they get back more. Your Friends will in turn support you, thus the circle of wealth continues to grow and grow! Simple Logic, you will start to get rich once you understand it.
