These icy cider apples are a cold reminder that we’re all done with PYO apples this year, but we do have a few bushels left of Empires & Mutsus & and a big tote bin of Golden Delicious! If you live locally, stop in & Arnie can hook you up with a bag of this weekend (10/31) from 11 to 4. Did you know that Goldens make wonderful apple pies, crisps, sauce & that they also freeze well? ... Wait! What? You can freeze apples? Yup! Frozen apples are great for baked goodies & smoothies. Just peel, core, cut, sprinkle with lemon juice, spread on a parchment-lined baking sheet, freeze, transfer into airtight freezer bags & pop them out of the freezer as needed all winter long! Easy peasy! #vosburghorchards #elizaville #goldendelicious #nyapples #ciderapples #locallygrown #farmlife #nofarmsnofood
