Claudia’s open letter to independent voters of the 114th: My science and legal background, and my voting record at the County Board, show that I am a strong, in...dependent thinker and decision maker. I carefully weigh the information before me, I do my homework by talking to colleagues, constituents, professionals and activists, and I strive to make the best, objective choice possible. I fought against the Warren County runway extension at the airport when it wasn’t popular to do so (and the FAA eventually agreed the extension wasn’t necessary), I expended tons of time into understanding the problems with the County’s energy contract with Siemens (and helped lead the effort, with a very small number of other Supervisors, to win a huge monetary award for the County), and I advocated for bail reform amendments before this issue became a hot political topic. I trust the judgment of the actual Independence party members, and all of the voters in the district, and I respectfully ask for your vote.

I hope you can come out to tonight to meet, greet and support Claudia Braymer. She is a fantastic choice to be our next Assemblyperson representing the 114th district. She has a history of being an effictive non-partisan public servant. It will be nice for a change to have a representive in the majority to put the issues of the North Country front and center in Albany. Tonight's event is FREE, there will be FREE hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Don't let a little snow stop you, we should be used to it by now.
