Hal and Edith Fullerton were the farmers, and Edith can be seen driving the car in the photo, which was taken near Route 25A and Randall Road in Wading River.

#ThrowbackThursday The Long Island Railroad line to Wading River ceased operations in 1938. Meanwhile, though, the station helped to bring passengers and business to the town. Note the building in the background, known as Judge's Hotel, and then Phil's. There was a second story added to the station to house the stationmaster. The station was located in what is now a shopping center on the north side of Route 25A.
