The following is the first set of ideas I have to get the ball rolling: 1) Mission Statement: To promote year-round healthy outdoor activities for Waltonians and friends of Waltonians 2) Events: Plan weekly and monthly activities throughout the year including, but not limited to, Hikes in the Walton and surrounding areas on Public lands. Weekly road and mountain bike rides for all levels of cyclists no experience necessary. Canoe and Kayak outings on the Delaware River,... Cannonsville Reservoir, and Pepactin reservoirs. Other outside activities to include snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding, Cross Country Skiing, Winter hikes, Night Hikes. 3) Communication: Facebook, Instagram, Walton Reporter, WDLA, County Shopper 4) NO DUES-Keep it free!!! 5) Meet at public places (near parking) that we can support after our outings Danny’s, Feather and Stone, TA’s, Gramma D’s, Big M, Molto Espresso, The Castle, Rainbow, Tasty Swirl Ice Cream stand, TSM, Sub Hubb, Daisy Queen, Farmers Market, Austin-Lincoln, Veterans park, the Grand Stand at Griswold St.,and any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Hello Everyone, I am Chris Lavell. This is my first attempt at setting up an outdoors club. I thought I would like to use Facebook as the communication platform to get started. I have a few thoughts I put down, but I am open to suggestions and ideas. My goal is to provide a forum for all that are interested in participating in outdoor activities all year round.
