Thank you everyone in our fishing community community. Not everyone recalls when the show was only 14 tables big. those that do have the pride and appreciatio...n to see what the show has become. A lot of people give suggestions to make the show this way or to charge this and I explain to people how this is a community event. Its a great community event for 3 Village and its a great community event for the fishing community. I am happy to be able to organize it and goes to support a fishing club comprised of so many different types of kids that would probably not be doing the same activity anywhere else. We do the show for the kids and they love it. The kids get jacked up for it and work so hard. Set up Friday night is 6 hours (after a full day of school for them) They then come back in just after 5 am and are non stop working till 830 AM (one of these years I have to tape it, you would not realize the work done at this time) It then takes us over 3 hours to clean up and break everything down. IT IS ALL WORTH IT. The love and support from the fishing community is above and beyond. I hope that our club success sparks more clubs to start at their own high schools. Other states have expansive high school fishing clubs/teams and their are state tournaments and large scale events. Maybe one day we can say the same here on Long Island.....

A new vendor asked me to share a raffle he is running at his booth. Jim Levinson photography, know for iconic photographs that can be found in local and national magazines, is refueling this framed Striped bass photo off for $100 each (value of photo is $1400) 10 spots only are available for his raffle and will be raffled off at 3 pm. Jim states that if the 10 spots are not filled, participants will get their money back. Jim will be sharing a portion of the raffle with the club. At the Ward Melville Expo on Saturday March 7th, along with the help of @fishreapercustomrodsandtackle we have a FREE RAFFLE for all those that have served or currently still do: a custom made 6.5' @usnavy themed conventional rod. All you need to do is check in with the @wmpatleague (a Ward Melvile student run club) at their table in the main raffle room, near the gym and provide identification.
