Good Morning Cannoneer Nation! Just some information about tonight's boys basketball game... if you are going to GFCC tonight, be sure to leave early enough to beat the Northway traffic! Also, there is a game beforehand, so parking will fill up quickly. If you can't make it to the game tonight, it will be available on Facebook Watch. Senior Night could not have ended any better for four Cannoneer wrestlers! The varsity wrestling team clinched the Colonial Council title after edging out an un...beaten RCS team on January 24 at home. The four senior wrestlers -- Charles Diotte, Owen Lyons, Carlos Maldonado and Sterling Spoon -- and their families were recognized before the start of the match. Congratulations to the senior boys and girls varsity basketball players, our senior cheerleaders, and their families and coaches as they were recognized at center court for a final time during the regular season. #WeAreVliet

So this is my final post of the 2018-19 season. I want to thank coaches Lane and Gibson and the Watervliet wrestlers for making me feel like a part of the Water...vliet team/family. Unlike most sports that use a bat or ball - wrestling is simple - one guy against another - each trying to pin the others shoulders. It takes guts to go on a mat each time but these young men do it and love it. As the comedian Bob Hope used to say, "thanks for the memories." See more
