I felt compelled to write this. I'm begging everyone to please follow protocol and wear a mask. The thought of my industy closing again is giving me a lot of anxiety. I feel for all hands on service businesses. This is not an issue to take lightly, especially, if you feel Covid-19 is blown out of proportion..to all our small businesses it's like the end of the world...it's our blood, sweat and tears that go into our careers. This is our livelihood. I among other sole propriet...ors and probably a lot of small businesses in general, live pay check to pay check. I can't handle losing more clients with the possibility of round two lockdown. Please, I can't stress enough the importance of being selfless, compassionate and thoughtful during this crucial time by wearing a mask to keep the health of others including yourself as a priority and to keep our businesses from crashing whether you believe it's helping or not. I've done more crying in these last 9 months than in my entire life. I may seem positive, sarcastic, happy and funny from my posts on Facebook and Instagram but deep down I'm harboring a lot of fear and depression. My work has been my love and dedication since I'm 18 years old and proud that I run a business by myself going on 41 years.. how sad that all this hardwork through aches and pains, tragedies, loss and determination to succeed through it all and to achieve it, can be destroyed by this Covid-19 in a heartbeat. I am truly asking everyone to put aside your hate and all the propaganda poisoning us thru social media and just do the right thing. Without small businesses this world is nothing.. we are the backbone to a strong economy. I want to also say a big, very BIG thank you to my clients who have and still support my business. Believe me, it does not go unnoticed, not for a moment. Please be vigilant, stay safe and healthy during this Holiday season and in the new year to come. May God bless us all. See more
