To tell the story of what it takes to be a volunteer interior fire fighter with Jonesville Volunteer Fire Department, we had the opportunity to capture footage at evening drills that were astonishingly realistic and hands-on. From putting out burning fires to using the jaws of life to enter vehicles, members of the department do it all to ensure they are prepared for any situation they could encounter when responding to a call. Being a volunteer not only gives you a level of practical preparedness you can apply in your community and at home, but a sense of comaraderie and purpose like nothing else. Over the course of this year, we got to work closely with Jonesville Volunteer Fire Department to create a series of recruitment videos for the Jonesville NY fire district. Our most involved piece was the main recruitment video, where we had the opportunity to stage a fire at a local residence and film a rescue scenario with the crew. Numerous volunteers gave up a weekend day to serve as the talent for this video, many of whom had arrived to our shoot directly after spending ...6 hours responding to a fire call. For that we are immensely grateful -- this kind of dedication truly captures the spirit of the volunteer fire fighter. The key messages that stuck with us in working on this project is that your local volunteer fire department needs you, and that anyone and everyone can play a role in keeping their communities safe. Last weekend, W Beyer Creative got to entirely stage a house fire for our recruitment video for Jonesville Volunteer Fire Department, and it was SUCH an exciting experience. The shoot took a lot of pre-planning and day-of coordination, and we are thrilled with how the footage came out. We are deeply grateful for the volunteers who gave up their Saturday morning to lend us their talents on top of their already admirable dedication to keeping the people in the Jonesville/Clifton Park community safe every single day. Last fall and spring, W Beyer Creative worked along side the team at New Leaf Tree Services, Inc. to capture their removal and pruning process in action. Since most of the work is 60+ feet in the air, having our FAA drone license was invaluable. We were able to capture all of the action from above and around the crew while they were up in the lift. It's really awesome to see the team work together and the methodology they use when on a project site. Everyone has their role, and when in motion, everything runs flawlessly. It was so impressive seeing a monster of a tree reduced to sawdust by the end of the day. Thank you New Leaf for allowing us to capture something you take so much pride in.

If you attended the American Heart Association's 2020 Heart Ball, you got to "meet" Jaxon, Patrick, and many other kids born with heart conditions in the Capital Region through our video. These are some of the Capital Region's Cardiac Kids. We were able to share their stories to bring awareness to pediatric heart defects and encourage people to donate to continued cardiac research through the American Heart Association.
