Beginning in April, rows of downtown lamp posts will feature images of local veterans as part of a Veterans Banner Program. Each banner will honor one person, showing their name and branch of service along with a photo. We are proud to be teaming up with the Town of Riverhead Veterans Committee, Riverhead Business Improvement District & Jodi Giglio to honor past & present veterans, active-duty, reserve and National Guard members. Gilding Day @ Wedel Signs! Gilding is a process of applying gold leaf to a substrate, in our case the carved lettering. A thin layer of gold size is painted on first, then when the tack is just right, we apply the 23k gold leaf.
