On this day, 79 years ago, at 7:48 AM Hawaii time, aircraft of the Japanese Navy attacked our fleet at Pearl Harbor. By the end of the day, 2,403 Americans were killed and 1,178 were wounded. This attack led us to declare war on Japan and just a few days later, Germany and Italy declared war on the United States. By the end of the war, over 70 million people around the world were dead. Of those, over 400,000 were Americans. Today, over 72,000 of those are still missing in action. According to the Veterans Administration, there are about 325,574 World War 2 veterans still alive and we are losing them at the rate of 296 a day. At that rate, within 3 years, there probably will be no WW2 veterans left. Remember that today and more importantly, remember those who's lives were changed forever on this day 79 years ago.

We are glad to hear the Marshals are okay! This is why we TRAIN and carry Ifak’s and TQ’s. Three of the deputies were shot but they appeared to be in stable condition, a third source said. One was hit in the arm and the other two were hit in the leg. https://www.nbcnewyork.com//u-s-marshall-shootout/2761128/
