Dear Wells Community, With the start of classes on Monday comes one of our favorite Wells traditions Opening Convocation. While New York State continues to prohibit mass gatherings of more than 50 people, Convocation this year will be like no other before and will be virtual. On Monday, we will send the link to current students, faculty, and staff to join the celebration of the beginning of the new academic year which will start at 7:30pm. What to Wear Faculty and... Staff -- if you are able to wear your regalia as we normally do, please do so. Seniors -- if you have not already picked up your gown from Rich, you can do so Monday in the campus store from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Juniors and Sophomores -- please wear your class colors. First-year students -- please wear your orientation t-shirts (or something red). How to Light Your Candle Download the candle app called Virtual Candle HD to your phone. There’s a free version that works perfectly fine. Just turn off your Wi-Fi during the candle lighting part of the ceremony to avoid the pop-up ads. When instructed during the ceremony, pull up the app and display the candle flame to your camera. Please no lighting of real candles! Singing of the Alma Mater The Oddline Song Leaders will lead us in the singing of the Alma Mater. Let the new year begin! #wellscollege #convocation #traditions @wells_college @wellscollegecollegiate

Attention Returning Students! We are starting to begin our housing processes for the Fall. Before general housing selection can happen, we need to ensure that anyone needing a housing accommodation for medical or other reasons has the chance to apply for an accommodation. Examples of housing accommodations are: single rooms due to a medical condition, emotional support animals, private or semi-private bathroom needed for medical reasons, request for a single room ahead o...f room selection for religious reasons, housing accommodations for someone that is immunocompromised, etc. If you are unsure if you need an accommodation, please reach out and we can go over the information. If you applied for a housing accommodation already, you DO NOT need to resubmit your application. This is only for NEW REQUESTS. See the email from Emily Burt for full info, and click the link in bio to submit an app today! #wellscollege #housing @wells_college @wellscollegecollegiate
