The M&T Bank Tech Hub highlighted our team’s ability to collaborate to provide a visually attractive yet functional space. I’m grateful to have worked with this incredibly talented team and to have learned so much from this challenging and rewarding project. - Matt Jessup, Mechanical Engineering Team #MTBTechHub #engineer #architect #SenecaOne
#ConstructionWatch: Wendel is the Construction Manager & Civil Engineer for the Lancaster Village Center Phase 1. The 27,000 sqft mixed use building will have retail space on the 1st floor while floors 2 & 3 will contain residential apartments. Foundations, masonry, and steel are now complete, and framing begins next week.

For International Women In Engineering Day, we’re celebrating 2 women who paved the way for female engineers. Edith Clarke was the 1st woman to earn her MSc. degree from MIT in 1919, the 1st woman to be employed as an electrical engineer in the US working for both AT&T and GE, the 1st woman to be a professor of engineering in the US, and the 1st woman elected a fellow of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers. She also invented the graphical calculator and developed mathematical methods that enhanced the way electrical engineers work. Actress Hedy Lamarr, was also an inventor. In addition to helping Howard Hughes design more aerodynamic airplanes, she helped develop a frequency-hopping signal that prevented radio-controlled torpedoes from being sent off course during WWII. #INWED21 #engineer courtesy of Wikipedia.org
