I took a great online training in Coiling Silk on September 20th with Ken Cohen and highly recommend his online trainings. We have been having fun during my online classes doing his shortened version of this set. Perfect practice for trying times:) You can check out his classes at https://www.qigonghealing.com/book-online

I have finally put up my photos, mostly taken from my time in Paris, on my website. https://wendysmith.com/photos/series/ Several people asked about purchasing them and so I am sending out the link for those who have an interest/desire to look or purchase. If you are not interested but know someone who may be, please forward this link, put it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. To view all the photos, click on the single photo on the page for the series title, for example the image in Paris series of the Pont Neuf at night wrapped by Christo, and you will pull up a photo gallery you can arrow through. The Cafe Series is a series of 7 photos taken in a Parisian cafe for a larger series I did on smoking. At the time there was a lot of smoking going on in French cafes!

I highly recommend Ken Cohen’s articles on his website https://www.qigonghealing.com/online-articles-videos-and-au As well as his blogs and especially his newsletter which you sign up for. There is a great article in it entitled Silence, Daoism and COVID-19. In it he talks about the fundamental way silence is beneficial for the earth based on an article in the science journal, Nature, https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-00965-x how less vibration (les machiner...y, cars, etc) has been beneficial to the Earth, in an article in National Geographic https://www.nationalgeographic.com//seas-silenced-by-pand/ and the Daoist principle called fasting of the mind. Lots of great information and food for thought on the importance of silence and right speech. For myself, I am greatly enjoying the silence I am experiencing and finding it extremely beneficial. Many students have asked me about research in Qigong and Tai Chi and I’d like to give you a link to some research from Dr. Yang Yang at the Center for Taiji Studies where I was certified in Qigong. http://centerfortaiji.com/articles/CTSEBTstudies5.pdf It’s a summary of Published Scientific Studies Conducted Using Dr. Yang Yang’s Evidence-Based Taiji & Qigong Program in January 1917.

If you want to be healthy and live to 100, do Qigong - Dr. Mehmet Oz Qigong (also spelled Qi gong, Chi Kung) is a system of self-healing that has been used in China for thousands of years to achieve health and longevity. These gentle yet powerful qigong exercises combine three elements: abdominal breathing, slow movement, and visualization to harmonize the body, mind and spirit. The dance-like movements (similar to Tai Chi) are both relaxing and invigorating. They provide n...umerous health benefits, such as balancing hormones, reducing stress, boost immunity and regulating blood pressure. Qigong is easy to learn, less strenuous than yoga or Pilates, and is accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels. Online Qigong ZOOM classes starting Mondays at 4:30pm or 6pm and Thursdays at 4pm EST First class is free to try out. Thereafter I am now offering a sliding scale price of $8-$14 per class for a series of 5 classes, since like myself, many people have lost most or all of their income due to Covid 19. Please try to offer at least $12 per class if you're able. So, lower your stress and raise your immunity with a Qigong practice that is easy and fun to do! To join, please contact Wendy at: [email protected] or [email protected]
