A beautiful prayer for you on this dreary but very much alive spring day. May we be full of hope as new life bursts forth from the earth and tree branches. Indeed all things are possible! Breathe Into Me Apr. 16, 2021 O God, empty me of angry judgments and aching disappointments,... and anxious trying, and breath into me something like quietness and confidence, that the lion and the lamb in me may lie down together and be led by a trust as straightforward as a little child. Catch my pride and doubt off guard that, at least for the moment, I may sense your presence and your caring, and be surprised by a sudden joy rising in me now to sustain me in the coming then. Ted Loder, Guerrillas of Grace I encourage you to sign up for daily emails from Inward/Outward https://inwardoutward.org/breathe-into-me-apr-16-2021/
Come and see! The tomb is empty for Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! Let all the world rejoice! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8sFpgDSbU8
It's Black History Month. Now if only we would use every day as an opportunity to learn about each other, love and respect one another, and pray for healing and unity. I hope you will take time to read the following from Godspace. As a 62-year-old white, middle-class, American female, I shudder to remember the racist language and behaviors common during my childhood, and yes.... those outrageously continuing on today. https://godspacelight.com/2021/02/11/black-history-month/
Enjoy this beautiful gift of music and God's creation as balm for your soul this day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G0FIn7nB2E

For those of you who would have liked to have attended our Blue Christmas service, and could not, I share my guided meditation. Blue Christmas Service 2020 Meditation Prayer & Lord’s Prayer If someone were able to read this to you, you would close your eyes, or keep them open gazing upon the candlelight, cross, or other reminder of God’s presence with you. ...Continue reading
With Hebron United Presbyterian Church, I am so honored to be able to partner with Shushan native Emily Borghard and Sidewalk Samaritan to love our neighbors! Please give to Sidewalk Samaritan! We are currently collecting: MEN'S COATS. STURDY BOOTS FOR MEN AND WOMEN BLANKETS... PLEASE BAG, LABEL "Sidewalk Samaritan" DELIVER to Gardenworks Wednesdays-Sundays 9-5 I share with you a recent post from the Sidewalk Samaritan Facebook Page: Sidewalk Samaritan is in New York, New York. tiSponso1og3rehad Day 7: We want to do a shout-out to a group that has provided multiple donations to us over the past year - the United Presbyterian Church in Hebron, NY! They (and their Pastor Laura) have really shown up and brought their congregation together to collect multiple rounds of coats, shoes and other clothes that can then make the trek from upstate New York to the city. Once COVID hit, some of the members of the church who were older or couldn’t go out as often for health reasons even began sewing masks for us to give out. It isn’t a typical week or month at our upstate storage location without one of the members of the church stopping by with bags to donate. We are so grateful to groups like these - seeing this type of volunteer work and collaboration reminds us of the kindness in the world and exemplifies the values we hold true here at Sidewalk. A big round () of applause () to them! #nychomeless #homelesslivesmatter #payitforward #kindnessmatters #nyc #newyorknewyork #homelessnyc #nychomelessness #homeless #kindnesscounts #sidewalksamaritan #helpinghand #nonprofit #covidhelp #homelessnothelpless #notinvisible
"Comfort, comfort my people," says your God. These words, from Isaiah, spoken to a community in exile so long ago, to a people worn and weary... just like us! "Comfort, comfort my people," says your God, are words for us today, ancient words with the power to strengthen us to not only bear the worry and burdens of Covid demands, but to shine, grow through them! Our exile days are not over, but neither is God's love and comfort! Hold on beloved, we can do this with God's comfort surrounding and upholding us! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqRrwcYFhG8
Please come or join us on Zoom Monday December 7th 7:00pm Blue Christmas Service (in-person and via Zoom- call 518-854-3729 for access) Especially this year, as we continue to struggle through the stress and loneliness of the pandemic, merry and bright may seem particularly elusive! Whether mourning a loss, worried about finances, facing health issues, missing family, or just plain stressed, we find our strength in the truth that there is a Light in our darkness! We will gather together either in-person or via Zoom, for a time of quiet reflection, prayer, and music; gifts of the season, wrapped in the healing love of the One who came down to be hope for the world.
