The Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, is celebrated annually on November 1st and 2nd. For many years, the Trove has hosted workshops for families to create altars, or ofrendas, celebrating deceased loved ones. While we were unable to do so this year, Trove librarians Raquel and Tata worked to create an instructional video and collect images of ofrendas made by community members. You can view that exhibit here: https://whiteplainslibrary.org//day-of-the-dead-dia-de-...lo/ A video highlighting some altars made during previous years' workshops can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01cfW-JBIEc #dayofthedead #diadelosmuertos
