The next project: Quiltworx's Dinner Plate Dahlia in Tula Pink's Linework and Essential Basics. This started out as an almost black quilt with hints of another color and was to be called "Almost Black Dahlia". Then I saw Linework and everything fell into place. Tula mentioned on one of her Tuesday videos that she would love to use one of her ribbons in a quilt if she could figure it out. Not really a challenge, but I took it that way. This quilt will eventually have ribbon in 3 places and will also include fussy cutting and most likely mini-piping to differentiate some areas. We start from where we are and my start on this is a commercial pattern that will be altered.
This quilt is kicking my butt. It's me and it's mental. The base quilt has been done for a year. ALL I have to do is get the applique done. It's quiet in the house. It's New Years. So Jimmy decides he has to "help" by sitting on the quilt. He's not leaving.
