Wixom Farm 13.12.2020

Not saying we’re doing everything right, and very aware that we are white settlers occupying stolen Seneca territory, but we try to work from a model of ethics and sustainability as best we can given that we’ve only been at this for less than a decade. So much knowledge and tradition was lostno, not lostdecimated by the genocide of American Indians. It breaks my heart every damn day. The folks at Sylvanaqua Farms in VA (including the author of this piece) are doing things... right and have really good and important stuff to say. The sin that drives America’s food/race/environment problem isn’t animal agriculture. It’s the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about: the United States stole far and away more land than necessary from its Indigenous inhabitants, and our modern food system is the end result of 243 years spent justifying it.

Hi all, slight change of plans: we will be open tomorrow, Sunday, from 10-1pm, not 3-7pm. We are still open today 3-7pm. Thank you and carry on!

Hello friends and neighbors, the Wixom Farm stand will be opening (finally!) this weekend, starting today, through Sunday, from 3-7pm. Masks must be worn at all times by patrons anywhere on Wixom Farm property, and hand sanitizer will be made available. All surfaces will be sanitized after each customer. We have a full inventory of beef and pork for sale, as well as eggs, maple syrup, garlic scapes, and fresh basil. Come on by for your July 4th holiday cook-out needs!
