What a fabulous start to the T25......two high quality games played at GVP RCC (Renaldo Scott single handedly) beat BNCC Bolts in a high scoring match. BCC beat BNCC Colts in a match that the spinners dominated.... Many thanks to RCC &RCA for making the matches happen despite the rain.

Buffalo Niagara Cricket Club Bolts Winners of the WNYCL T20 2017
Despite the Rain the last league match and the Quarter Finals were completed over the weekend. Here were the results: League Match between Rangers and CycloneCi...ty was won by Rangers with a bonus point and they became the #1 team in the league stages. The following Quarter Final matches were played on Sunday: 1. RCA-Tigers vs Strikers: Strikers won by more than 40 runs. Jipu scored 91 run in a total of 170. Tigers fell short by about 40 runs. 2. Rangers vs BNCC-Colts: Rangers batting first scored 120 and defend them successfully against the dangerous Colts batting lineup 3. RCC vs BCC: Clash of the titans (these teams played the T35 finals) was won by BCC at Genesse Valley Park. In the 18 overs an innings match BCC won the crucial toss and invited RCC to bat and chased down the target of 123 15.5 overs. 4. BNCC-Bolts vs LCC: Bolts stopped the LCC juggernaut at the Lockport ground to move into the semis. Bolts batting first scored 207 and then restricted LCC to 174 runs. Semi Final Line Up: 1. Rangers vs BCC 2. Bolts vs Strikers Please join us next week for the Semis and Finals. WNYCL would be remiss not to thank the efforts of LCC and RCC in making sure that we were able to conduct games despite the bad weather.

And the fun begins....... Eight Registered Teams in T35 2017 (May 20 - Sep 23) 1. Rochester Rangers (RR) 2. Buffalo Cricket Club (BCC)... 3. Lockport Cricket Club (LCC) 4. Monroe County Cricket Club (MCCC) 5. Rochester Cricket Club (RCC) 6. Niagara Falls Cricket Club (NFCC) 7. Buffalo Niagara Cricket Club-Team Beta (Beta) 8. Buffalo Niagara Cricket Club-Team Alpha (Alpha) Attached is the schedule for the first leg of the tournament. Each team will play every other team twice: a total of 14 matches per team. The top two teams will play out the finals. The participating teams will be called for a meeting this week where the format and rules will be explained.

The earliest recorded matches of Cricket & Baseball in North America were played in our region. Over the years these sibling sports have grown apart. Even in cold weather we had hot high intensity matches: Spartans put a very spirited effort against UBCC in low scoring match. Strikers trumped Rangers off the last ball UBCC held BNCC-Alphas at bay and Sharks continuing their impressive performance defeated Spartans. Rangers crushed LCC at home by 70 runs and Strikers once again pulled off a last over victory against RCC-1. ... Stay tuned for the points table and join us for the games next week.....
Of the scheduled 4 games only 2 games were completed. In a truly David vs Goliath story, the Sharks defeated the much fancied BNCC-Alphas in a last over of a low scoring thriller. And in a show of strength at home the LCC team pummeled the BNCC-Betas bowlers to register the first Batting Bonus Point. Here is the Points Table as of 09/19/2016
T-10 2016 has started with a bang! The first match between BNCC Betas and Idlywood Strikers ended on the last ball of the last over with a victory for BNCC Betas. The other three matches were equally competitive and resulted in wins for UBCC, BNCC Alphas and RCC-1.... Please come out and support the teams.......
The T-20 2016 Schedule is out: the participating teams will be emailed the Rulebook and the Copy of the (posted) Schedule by noon today. WNYCL appreciates the patience of all the participants.
Update on the T20 The WNYCL board met on 08/31/2016 and fleshed out the format and schedule that they will finalize by 09/07/2016. Currently the following 8 teams are registered: BNCC-1, BNCC-2, LCC, RCC-1, RCC-2, Spartans, Strikers and UBCC. All the details including involving the tournament will be shared with the team reps by 09/08/2016. The opening game will be played on Saturday the 09/10/2016. One discussion that is central to the tournament is that of Umpiring: all p...articipating teams will have to volunteer to umpire for matches in equal measure. The official launch of the inaugural T-20 competition will be held on Sunday 09/04/2016 at the Lockport Cricket Ground @ 2.00 pm. All interested teams and individuals are encouraged to attend and enjoy the music, food and other festivities.
Schedule and Results
The WNYCL is now accepting team’s registration for the WNYCL T20 Cricket Tournament tentatively scheduled for the month of September. Register your team at the earliest at the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/cPucxBHm21OVX5Bk1 ... The tournament will most likely be played at three venues: the details will be finalized by the League in the next week and published there after. The WNYCL will be accepting registrations through September 1, 2016 for the limited amount of spots available:8-10 team. Registration will honored on a first come first serve basis and WNYCL may deny teams participation due to the tournament format and other constraints. The WNYCL T20 Cricket Tournament will be a fun-filled extravaganza featuring some of the best cricketers in the Western New York Region.
