Good Morning, NYC! We are expecting some freezing drizzle today. Our salt spreaders are ready to address any icy areas, if needed. And we continue to monitor fo...recasts, as it appears more snow is on the way this week. Beware of refreezing, too. Today is Presidents’ Day, but we ARE working on trash/recycling pickup. Snow ops take priority, and we always prepare when we see the chance of snow/ice...even if it doesn’t end up happening. Collection will be ongoing, and delayed, while we are in this weather pattern. DSNY has issued a Winter Operations Advisory for Sat., Feb. 13 at 1pm. Snow is expected beginning Saturday afternoon and may continue as snow or freezing rain t...hrough as late as Sunday mid-day. We are monitoring forecasts. Salt spreaders are ready. Snow Laborers are working today to hand shovel pedestrian areas, like cross walks & bus stops. We are still hiring additional Snow Laborers. Pay $15/hr. Register at http://nyc.gov/snow. Collection update: It’s ok to put trash/recycling at curb, following your normal schedule. Collection will occur as snow ops allow; snow operations take priority.
