Good morning everyone, I hope you are all staying warm. I would like to take a moment to inform you that I will be leaving the Worcester-Schenevus library as I have accepted a position at the Richfield Springs Public Library. My last day here will be February 1st. Although I would have loved to stay here at the W-S Library, I could not pass up this opportunity. I am so grateful to all of you for your warm welcome and acceptance during my time here. It is my hope you will be as welcoming to my predecessor. With all my love and best wishes, Mindy Baker

January 31st at 2 pm we will have a representative from the Office of the Aging at the library to present an informational program on Senior Scams: How to Prevent Becoming a Victim. Learn about the Grandparent Scam, Medicare Scams, Sweepstakes & Lottery Scams, Telemarketing & Phone Scams, IRS Impersonation Scams, Romance Scams, Identity Scams, Internet/Phishing Scams and Identity Theft. For the month of January, Worcester-Schenevus Library is offering fine forgiveness. If you have been holding off coming to the library due to overdue fees or lost books/items, come on by and we will forgive those fees for this month. Let's start off the new year with a clean slate!

If you are in need of a hat, mittens and/or scarf this winter, stop by the library and pick out a gift from our mitten tree. Thanks to our Crochet Circle members and generous members of the community who knit and crochet, we have a lovely tree decorated with mittens, hats and scarves, for children through adults.
